College too. You have to learn life skills in life. A good parent will teach there children. Unfortunately I learned all those things the hard way. Credit was a hard lesson indeed.

High school also didn't teach me manners, respect and how to be a gentlemen.... It did give me the tools i needed to graduate college and make a decent living to support my family today.

Someone once said.. school teaches you how to be a slave..my perspective is..how come they never taught me how to survive in the world..if they were real they would teach how to budget..how to be a good parent..how to survive basically.

No. High school taught me how people work and that's as essential as it gets.

AMEN!!

In my junior year I got drunk with my buddies one night and painted up the school walls. Got caught and suspended. The vice principal asked my dad if the 'Black blood' in my family might have caused me to do this. My dad lied and denied that either of us had any.

Got expelled a year later. This asshole nullified all my credits and blocked me from getting into any other school. Following year he was promoted to principal.

High school was, to the best of my knowledge, the only time an authority figure ever discriminated against me.

But fuck him. I got my GED a year later. Now I have a BAS.

I learned how to type in high school along with how to eat pussy and ass and fuck. Very valuable.

Not really because I wasn't looking to learn that in HS. Matter of fact we started banking in grade school.

They xmas club accounts.

Besides my father taught us how to bank and the value of earning money.

But then again i grew up in a different time than many posters. We didn't get shit just because we wanted it.

All school does is teach you how to be a robot. Nothing schools do teach you about how to get information for your self. Everything we teach our kids now comes to them from experience. This is where you go for this info. This is where you go to learn this...

A different time being the 70's for me. So my parents were the 60's. And they drug addicts. So i didn't learn shit from them. Which means i had to learn everything dolo. With parents growing up in the 60's everything pretty much was jesus. Kinda.

I was the dude in High school who had everything but my own apartment, with the responsibility of maintaining it and I used to ask myself "Why am I here with these kids"I've always was my own thinker.I didn't belong or fit in because I've always been around people that were older.
School was a breeze,I mastered the ability to smooth talk teachers, and not miss no more than 7 days out of each period, while hustling weed while I was there by 11th grade I liked school,I bullshitted around all day, talking shit and get at all the girls show em a little attention they all your friends.

Now with that said,I didn't learn a got damn thing in school pass 6th grade but how to deal with different people with different personalities and I also learned how the system starts to prey on us in our schools and all it takes in one bad teacher to get that ball to rolling and guaranteed to lead you onto a certain path in life.

High school diploma doesn't mean shit no more and with each year that passed it's becoming less and less of value;you either know how to do something or you don't.
