Maybe they're playing 'white knight' for another team, and, when all is said and done, the may move quietly down the draft roll and be rewarded with a nice 'package' from some team, containing personnel for the line. Rumor has it that Denver has eyes for USC's QB, Sanchez, and the Jets covets both Bouldin (Arizona), and Quinn (Browns). They plan to provide a package, including their #19 pick. But its going to take one helluva 'package', because we're talking about at least three teams, and if anybody gets those picks its probably going to be Arizona.
If the Lions do stay with their pick, they better get ready to open the checkbook for the FA'a. Like I said...as have many others......the O-line needs help, the D-line needs help, etc, etc. Maybe they should apply for a stimulus package.
