Yeah, remembered they shutdown THE GALLERY to turn that shit into The First District Plaza and them mothefuckas went bankrupt trying to sell that building losing money because nobody wanted to shop there buying that overpriced stuff they were selling.

the last time i went to watch a movie in a theater was when the 1st Black Panther came out :dunno:

i honestly can't/couldn't afford to go 2 movies any more

Was there violence? In Manhattan the movies at 86th and 3rd is a great place to get your ass kicked for more than 2 second eye contact.

I remember back in the day I went to a movies in Philly downtown on Chestnut or Walnut Street to see Trespass. First time I pissed in a movie theatre. Motherfuckers probably thought it was soda.

That's where I saw Kings of Comedy. Me and Bruce were in there, drunk as fuck, and both of us damn near suffocated laughing at Bernie's set.

True OG. Chestnut street had the two theaters on 19th, and then there were the ones between 15th and 16th, and the one off Broad. Then the two arcades on Chestnut too. Good fucking times.

What's crazy is they remodeled that movie theater not long ago to decide to now close it down. :smh:

I never went in but I remember reading in the paper or maybe they were talking about it on the radio. Im in San Fran right now, nothing in the local paper as to why they closed ?

Which is why I never feel bad for this city because they constantly do dumb shit wasting money but want to increase everything else to recoup their losses.
Right . Always had bad leadership. The John Street era was utterly ridiculous. Dude was crooked than a muthafucka. His whole fuckin family. :smh:

They wasted all that money to remodel it.

But then again, nothing surprises me about my city wasting money...... :smh:

First time I was ever searched for a weapon, and my girls purse was searched for weapons, happened at the theater at 19th and Chestnut.

The mayor we got now, she's no better.

None of these philly mayors were shit.

When they first legalized weed there, I was smokimg out front on south street. Didnt see the police and they promptly gave me a $25 ticket, police said go to court and they will throw it out the mayor isnt enforcing the tickets.
