Golden Boy promotes junior middleweight contender James Kirkland, who got up from a first-round knockdown to stop Alfredo Angulo in the sixth round Nov. 5 in Mexico. Golden Boy's President, Oscar De La Hoya said the possibilities are many for Kirkland's next fight,
including a fight with WBC world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez - another Golden Boy fighter. Interestingly, De La Hoya also mentioned a possible rematch with Nobuhiro Ishida, the light-hitter who stopped Kirkland in the first round in April in Las Vegas.
