that was 100% attention whoring by the mother, she was probably Facebook herself and saw the other vids of parents doing this messed up way of so-called "discipline". No way the daughter being on FACEBOOK warrants a beating with a belt and slaps to the face

The problem with that... is most of the parents who would be saying what you said...are...insecure themselves an won't admit it. And can't identify it. And can't tell the signs of it. How can you explain what insecurity in a man is, when you can't identify it yourself?
The mother sounds carib. In my experience carib parents don't do much talking. I grew up between haitians jamaicans cubans...the birds bees talk those parents gave my friends? Was don't do it. Sex? Don't do it. Don't let a boy do this. Don't let a boy do that.
And when you as girl did wrong... you got hit. Of course she still did it. All of the girls i went to HS with all the carib ones had babies in HS or the year out of HS. Every single 1 of them. There was no talking. Because the parents couldn't tell themselves what happened within themselves. They can't verbalize how they feel and they weren't taught too. They weren't taught to express their disappointment or hopes for their children in a way to be understood. Because what happened to them? They got hit.
