I'm not even understanding how there was more than one Godzilla

they've been gone for 100,00 years he had grown since then and had offspring. everything the flying creatures the smaller godzilla even the foilage are all mutated offspring side effects

We watched this last week. Couldnt figure out why that young captain guy was so angry. I kept laughing at his dramatics.

So he had offspring? The one they fought 20,000 years earlier was roughly the same size as the first one they encountered. Then the original showed up? Where was he before? Who did he mate with?

The show was full of plot holes. Why not cololonize the moon as that one guy mentioned as a plan B? They already conquered the hardest part of space which is (gravity) once you conquer gravity you can colonize any planet you want including mars

What would that thing feed on?

Anything that will fit into his mouth. We know Godzilla ain't vegan.

I get that, to grow that large one must eat.

Fuck did it eat?

Nigga just fucked shit up

In the past; Godzilla has been shown as being sustained by his consumption of nuclear radiation and radioactive type reactors. (As shown in "Godzilla 1985").
Additionally, the Godzilla 2014 film intimated that Godzilla and other MUTOS survived at a time when the surface of the Earth was far more radioactive than it is today but that they went deeper into the Earth to find more radiation as time went on.
So as long as radiation is available to him (and with many of them having a half life of 500-5000 yrs.) theoretically, Godzilla could steadily consume them and live and continue to grow as large as Earth's gravity would allow him to. :eek2:

He wouldn't have to "eat" very often and as long as he gets enough at each feeding, it would sustain him for a VERY long time. But if he's deprived of radiation sources on Earth's surface (Man-made sources, etc...) he would go underground to find it.

Does this answer help...? ;)

you know a lot of animals don't need a opposite sex to reproduce. and it was 100,00 years not 20,000

No it wasn't. Due to warp drives 20,000 years had passed. They were gone for 22 years from the time they left but 20k years passed on earth due to time dilation

"The committee reluctantly accepts and upon landing two battalions on Earth, discovering that 20,000 years have passed and that Godzilla's presence has radically altered Earth's biosphere." - wikipedia

i'll have to go back and rewatch i thought they said the warp drive took them 100k years ahead. even still 20k years and may have still been growing i can see it. think about a lot of animals if they had never been untouched by man's hand how big some might have been or what they were capable of.

there's a miniseries that was on discovery called the future is wild and it showed what happened with the evolution of animals with man no longer around. there were turtles and octopi the size of buildings

Besides all of that. They should have evacuated to the moon or Mars. They could have stayed there and hit up Earth for food and water. Humanity would have thrived.

Shin Godzilla sucked even more!!!
Shin Godzilla, after giving it a second watch was actually decent in how it showed the failures of man responding to a threat.

Honestly, compared to this Netflix BS, Shin Godzilla was dope.

At least they showed the monster throughout the film, and not the first 5 and last 15 minutes.

I'll admit, that looked corny, but the actual film itself was well done.

What I liked was it showed the monster evolving throughout the film and how people and government officials had no clue how to respond.

I saw the film again last week, and on my first watch, I hated it because I felt Godzilla looked silly. However, watching it again, gave me a better perspective of what they were trying to do. I'll give them credit for that

And like I said earlier, at least Shin Godzilla had Godzilla in it throughout the film.

This Netflix joint, and even the American Godzilla 2014 film, he was making a cameo appearance in his own movie.
