Explain this to me. I am asking because I truly don't understand. Blackballed by the network/networks, promoters, what?

I just happened to turn the TV on last night and the Wayne Brady skit was on and it's like, I have never watched a comedian that repeatedly and it was just as funny as if I saw the debut of the first season. This cat has the comedic gift, hands down.:smh:
 
The second season was much less memorable than the first and a lower overall quality...

No hate, though, the show was unusually strong out of the gate.
 
He was always very unfunny to me until his show on comedy central. Now I think everyone realizes how unfunny he really is.

An Obama joke this year woulda ended Chappelle. Notice him AND Aaron Mcgruder been layin low.

Plus, he needed to after the heavy cycle he went through. When he comes back, it'll be a great relief.

Any channel will pick up anything he brings to the table. He did sold out tours 3-4 times over ALL over the states since that last shit happened. Clearly your head was in the sand.

If anything, he blackballed THEM. Comedy central tried to replace him with lame as Carlos Mencia, and that tanked.

They have not had a show that successful since..

3-4 years later, and they're STILL playing his reruns, what does that tell ya?

How exactly did Dave Chappelle "fuck up"? Dude made a decision as man on what he wanted to do with his life. How is that "fucking up"? He's young, rich, and his family is well taken care of. He does exactly wants he wants to do everyday. How many people do YOU personally know that can do that?

I think what you meant to say is, "Damn...I really miss Dave Chappelle. I would have loved to see what he would do with all these issues that would be great for comedy. Too bad he stopped doing his show." Instead, you make it seem like he's got the problem.

Dude...do you have any idea how big a Dave Chappelle comedy special would be???? Do you really think that either HBO or Showtime would turn down an opportunity to make a shitload of money off that special??

First season was butt, there was a couple memorable sketches but they were more good ideas than actually funny. Second season was much funnier overall. Everything from 3rd was great.

Make no mistake Dave will get back on his shit. He's still too busy doing shows here and there while he's spending that money from the first two seasons of success. He'll pop up eventually, kinda like skillz does at the end of each year with the rap-up and tell it like it is. More or less it will be during his stand-up but he's one of the few people that refuses to be quiet if he doesnt need to be.

Chappelles humour goes over a lot of folks head, he is very political and all of his jokes have an underlying statement.

Daves the fuckin man and I can sit and watch him do his thing on stage for hours.

I respect his intelligence and perspective. and also the way he stood up to hollywood and said fuck wearing a dress.
