He may Jay the multi-millionaire he is today. Until Jay met Dame, he was an good underground rapper. Like a million other good underground rappers.
Jay WAS NOT a promoter, marketer, or business man beside hustling a little crack and coke.
Dame was the "brains" behind the operation and showed Jay how to work a deal, presentation, marketing, how to play the hollywood/music game ... all that shit.

It's tough to make another Jay when he soured all his business relationships being the bad guy for Jay. Dame said it himself, you just have to listen. No reason to ride on Jay's dick just because he's the celeb and the other dude is the workhorse.
I personally do not know what happened between them, nor will I pass judgment on either man. I'll still listen to Jay and I still think Dame is a smart business man and just because he isn't in the limelight doesn't mean he "FELL THE "FUCC" OFF"!!! I'm sure he's still making money on the humble and becoming even richer. The object of the game is to be wealthy, not rich. I'm glad people count other people out without really analyzing things because it leaves the Edmond Dantès' of this world room to work their master plan.

Got a question for the fam... Everybody goes on & on about Dame and Jay, but wtf is da deal w/ Biggs? Was he a real player in everything, or just the early-in-the-game "money man" who invested wisely and rode it til the wheels fell off? Either way I respect dude's hustle in the sense that I'm the type that prefers to move behind the scenes and let others do the front-lining. Kinda like how everybody sees/loves the stars in Hollywood but the producers hold the real power.

Now, regardless what kats think or not, This isn't the first time someone close, once considered or at least considered themselves as a friend felt that this wasnt really the way friends do each other - his gift seems to be that he made something magnificent happen with the help of a few close associates and 'friends' @ the right time but his curse is that none of them are truly that close after the fame & not even his music is the same which is more than just growth;
