I won't go into true numbers again but Aquaman ain't all that. What I will say is Brie Larson's mouth might be torpedoing Marvel's plans to make her the speartip of phase 5. Wonder what KF plan B is.
BTW, I think Joker might do well. I don't think WW2 will. It will open big but fall way off. Same reasons - extremely poor acting and worse plot.
And I'll reiterate - Endgame 3 billy and closer to 4. And that's real money.

quality story telling succeeds - not gimmicks - not just throwing shit at the wall
Shazam won't break 300 - why?
cause DC doesn't understand the character at all - gave him an intro arc that has always been the inherent core of Billy - fucking paint by numbers hollywood shit writing, shitty costume design - a marketing plan relying on pop culture gimmicks
and giving your hopeful movie only 2 weekends before Avengers opens Friday
Dumb mother fuckers went the whole movie without figuring away to deal with his name - claim the original name or go fully with Shazam - stop the cute shit
As for Capt Marvel- if it was a better written/ executed movie it would have come closer to Black Panther's numbers

Well, yes and no. As slam and I have discussed here and in other threads, the domestic numbers are skewed by distribution costs, of which Disney has none because they have their own distribution network and foreign "taxes" of which Disney is able to reroute to their theme parks many times. The Mouse be winning.
Wouldn't it be ironic if DC has to pay the Mouse distribution fees? I'll have to look into that, but knowing the House of Mouse I wouldn't be surprised if they try to acquire all the distribution houses in the usa. Love 'em or hate 'em they make money for their investors.
