Man, Marvel just makes good damn movies. Period. I had watched Aquaman the day before and the difference in quality was astonishing. Well, then again, not really.
I saw it last night at the BGOL cinema and it was pretty good, not the best and not the worst. Marvel fooled everyone by putting the Skrulls in the movie a lot of fans thought this would be the start of secret invasion story.
All I know is Photon is hella thick and would get wifed up with the quickness

but honestly it was one of the worst marvel moves I've seen. I was entertained, because I knew nothing of her origin story. and even that left a lot to be desired.
I'm still not sure how she got her powers to get stronger, and she didn't look close to being the most powerful person in the marvel universe.

Jude law's character in the film installed a device in Captain Marvel's neck that limited her cosmic energy powers. Once she broke through that device, she unleashed the full potential of her powers. She is essentially a living breathing power energy source.

The 21st installment of Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe — and its first film with a solo female headliner — earned an estimated $61.4 million after its domestic opening Friday night, including the $20.7 million from early Thursday previews.
That gives the MCU its seventh largest domestic opening day behind the three Avengers films, Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War, and Iron Man 3.
Disney is currently projecting a three-day box office gross in the range of $145-$155 million, which would potentially give Captain Marvel a larger opening weekend than Guardians of the Galaxy, Vo. 1 and Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok.
All this in spite of efforts from a certain ilk of Rotten Tomatoes users to tank the Audience Rating score on the platform. Critic reviews have been largely positive.

The part human, part Kree warrior only retains flashes of her life on earth as she fights as a member of the Kree strike team known as Starforce. I predict a huge drop off next week, the movie just is not that good. If this wasn't attached to The Avengers this would've been a generic TV super hero flick.
Yeah I understood that part. She was tied up and all of a sudden realized her powers out the blue and broke the restraints and device from thinking about the past somehow.

In the movie, the moms is Photon and Carol is Avenger. I know in the comics the little girl grows up to be that, but not in the MCU (so far)

This Nick Fury ain't the Avengers Nick Fury. Glad this shit ain't required to enjoy Endgame. It was weak in my opinion. Thank God for Bgol cinema

Females are going to make this movie hit close to a billion. I’d say it caps out at 750 to 800 million... the Chinese market is going to be the big factor here.
As for the movie...
My biggest complaint is that the best fight scenes were shot too damn dark...

I went with three women tonight and they all fucking loved this movie more then Wonder Woman. Women are going to go see this multiple times.
I don't get it past revisiting women's lib. This character was a bore in the marvel universe. One of those 70s heroes like Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Ghost Rider. Etc. Not meant for much storyline.

my daughters loved it, Brie Larson was at the theater handing out popcorn......needless to say my two little ones are definitely fans now!
