Roaming Rooster started off in food trucks then opened a brick and mortar on Bladensburg road in NE.
Kitchen Cray has been around for a couple of years. Take a broad to brunch their and you're in.
Just Jerk is in Lanham and sits in the cut across from the Darcars dealership. Worth it.
the Uncaged Chefs is in Forestville. Haven't been yet but pass by there often.
Carl's Subbs is a Northeast D.C. staple. From what I've been told some of the best sandwiches ever.
Oh yeah...all of those businesses are black owned.

Yep. I tried all of their sandwiches, recently. That Nashville Hot is the best, then the honey butter.
