I've been to quite a few places because of my job with DOD. This time I'm in Sarajevo, Bosnia. This country went through a siege in the 90s where over 11 000 lives were lost. They recovered some but not fully as the city still bears the marks of the war. I learned about the Tunnel they built to support the Bosnian Army during the siege. I learned about the Bosnian Romeo and Juliette (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romeo_and_Juliet_in_Sarajevo)
Basically country is rich in culture. Another fun fact: They have three presidents running the country concurrently.
They don't see/have a lot of black folks around this parts of the world. So yeah, I was stared at a lot!!!!
Food is cheap and affordable. Average salary for average Bosnians 450 Euros=540.90 United States Dollar . If you have a chance to travel, this may be a place to come. Girls are in abundance and everywhere.. but because of Covid, Hangout Joints were not open. Most girls speak English here.

I was also in Mostar. The city with one of oldest bridges in Europe..

Not really. They have lots of mosques but they all coexist since the siege. They have strip clubs and online escort services They're currently in the Ramadan month. Food is more like greek food. They don't have KFCs or Popeye's

I have a co-worker from there and we went to eat lunch at one of the local Bosnian restaurants. It was basically this, but not as much. It was delicious.

I think one was from Croatia and the other was from Bosnia.

I worked with a guy from Bosnia about 12-13 years ago. Good DBA, but selfish as fuck. Would gladly take the administrative ad-hoc scripts i would write but would never return the favor. The chicks here are pretty cool. Most of the ones we saw were too young for my taste to engage. I don't want baggage or issues. I engaged some of them and they generally think their men are pussies. That they don;t know how to talk to women. Lots of women here are single because they guys are not making moves. So yes, you could get easy pussy here if you're willing to go on attack....unless you wanna pay for it.

I remember flying to a conference with a group of Officers. I and one other guy were the only NCOs on this Liason Officer (LNO) team.
While we were on a layover, this Major started talking about his tour in Bosnia during the end of the war, as Peacekeepers.

This dude had no shame in talking about him and other Officers sneaking out to blacklisted zones and frequenting brothels full of teenaged girls. He marveled at their "Eastern European" beauty, but they all had bad teeth...a mouth full of cavities from years of not having supplied markets, etc. due to conflict.

I was stunned that he didn't even speak in hushed tones about that shit and this was just after the DOD implemented regulations on human trafficking.
Officers get away with all of the shit that they hang the enlisted out to dry over.

Milwaukee has a community of Serbians and Bosnians and a lot more of them came here after the war.

Problem with this part of the world, the "me too" movement is almost non existent. They look older but they are very young. It's very easy to get in trouble if you don't pay attention to their manners or what they wear but you looking at the bodies. they grow up fast around here. The embassy here basically informs you of the dos and don'ts.
