CTI Jazz Label Guru Creed Taylor Passes at 93

He's a WHITE Guy.
But Older Music Dudes here like Myself know how much Taylor meant to Jazz during the 60s and 70s.
The Talent and Music that came out of that label.

And Younger Cats need to know how much of the Hip-Hop/Rap Community sampled much of that CTI Music to this day.
And still does.

"MR. MAGIC" is going to pop up here at some point.
But "BLACK FROST" will always be my Favorite tune off that album.
The Brass Section still amazes to this day for Me.

There are so many legends leaving us it's crazy. We were fortunate to be living in a time when people came together to produce something greater than themselves.

I think of Rudy Van Gelder who captured so much music for Blue Note Records. This guy to me was an artist behind the board. Also, I agree Knucles666. Those album cover for Blue Note are unsurpassed.

He had no idea who it was.
