I just got off the phone with a good buddy of mine (who, mind you, is conservative) who works for one of the major cable companies. He shared some tough news: during a company meeting on Thursday, they announced that his entire division is being laid off as of 12:01 AM tonight. The work is being outsourced to a front company based in India. I told him, “Brother, this is exactly what you voted for—more corporate bureaucracy taking advantage of hardworking people.” What’s worse is that everyone in his division has over 15 years of tenure. Now he's worried about healthcare and I told him the republican Gov here in GA fucked that all up to spite Obama, so you gotta pay sky high rates.....dead silence on the phone
