Reminds me of a situation I had about 20 years ago with some White co-workers.

It was me and 3 White dude co-workers. We were just standing around killing time and talking.

One mentioned he had an issue with a recent purchase.

Long story short, for whatever reason I stated out loud “Make Sure You Have Your Receipt When You Take It Back”.

They all stared at me like Deer in Headlights.

One said to me “I Never Had To Have A Receipt To Bring Something Back?….”.

I kept my mouth shut after that and let them continue their conversation.

It was a wake up call on White Privilege and proved Eddie Murphy’s classic SNL skit on White privilege.
