Copyright/Published?

Has anyone here ever had anything copyrighted or published?
I know folks were mad at me for not finishing my story but there was a reason...Now I have 15 short stories that I have written I would like to have copyrighted and published....
Anyone have info or links on this? I have to go to work shortly so please post any links or info that you have......

It is very simple. Do not buy into the idea of mailing things to yourself as a "common law copyright" - it won't help you really.

I turned a journal into a book but just for me, I used lulu.com to do it....
