Comic-Con 2018 Schedule Day 1: ‘Doctor Who,’ ‘Predator,’ ‘Nightflyers’ Lead Must-See Panels

Welcome to San Diego Comic-Con 2018!

The annual pop-culture convention has officially begun and Day 1 is packed with must-see panels in Hall H and Ballroom 20, including a “The Predator” tease, the introduction of the Jodie Whittaker-led “Doctor Who,” a “Breaking Bad” 10th anniversary reunion, a first look at the new George R. R. Martin Syfy series “Nightflyers,” and the first appearance official appearance of NBC’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”

Thursday con-goers will also be treated to a sneak peek of The CW’s “Charmed” reboot, and can take a trip down memory lane with “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” co-creators Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna as the series enters its final season. And don’t forget “Marvel’s Iron Fist” presentation.

Then the zombies arise, as AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead”‘ haunt Hall H on Friday, with panels hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown.

The DC Universe digital streaming service will present “Young Justice: Outsiders” that day, followed by a window into the “Big Bang Theory” writers room, a presentation of Cartoon Network’s “DC Super Hero Girls,” and the world premiere of Hulu’s “Castle Rock,” a series that takes place in the Stephen King universe.

Also on Friday, “Star Trek: Discovery” will hit Hall H with a panel moderated by Tig Notaro as Chief Engineer Reno and stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp and more. Plus, Fox will bring a “Bob’s Burgers” panel and the world premiere of new Fox drama “The Passage.”

The CW superhero hits “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “DC Legends of Tomorrow,” “The Flash” and “Supergirl” will all have presentations and Q&A sessions on Saturday, as will the new “Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” spinoff “Legacies.”

Saturday will also see presentations and panels for Syfy’s “Krypton,” NBC’s “Manifest,” Fox’s “The Simpsons,” “American Dad!” “Family Guy,” “The Gifted” and “The Orville,” and Cartoon Network’s “Unikitty!”

The final day of Comic-Con 2018 is a big one for The CW, with a “Supernatural” screening and Q&A on Sunday morning, and the arrival of “Riverdale” in Hall H for a video presentation and a Q&A with the creator and cast. Once the younger-skewing network is done, FX rolls in with panels for its new spinoff “Mayans M.C.,” the next chapter Kurt Sutter’s “Sons of Anarchy” saga, and Noah Hawley’s “Legion.”
