Dude makes a lot of good points but a lot of that shit he said is illogical.
I agree with his purview of cutting out the middle man and going directly to the consumer via the internet but in the same breathe then why should it matter to him if a white cat is president of urban music.
If he really believes that the way to go is directly to the consumer, which is true, he shouldnt concern himself with who is in charge of a dinosuar?
This is the genius and problem with Dame, dude is ultra talented but he has major flaws in how he leverages and positions himself.
Organizational leadership is about establishing a collaborative environment with all parties involved particulary customers and mediums. How can customers buy into his movement when in the same breathe he calls the the vultured upon? If his shit new shit does pop to a major degree, why would a Netflix invest time, money and resources in aiding his movement when he only see them as a medium and not a partner.
This is what's biting him in the ass right now! His disposition wont allow him to foster positive relationships. Because of this, everyone will deal with him with a what can you do for me mentality. And the moment the margins waver, they'll be done with him. This is true of every he has dealt with that currently has influence.
Regardless of what niggas went through, had Dame established a culture of collaboration and mutual respect he would be able to get with Jay, Ye, RZA, or Russell to bounce his ideas off of.
That will never happen because his arrogance will not allow him to view anyone as his peer.
He better come on with that book because that's the last bullet in the clip. Niggas still want the inside story of the ROC demise. And it better be salacious.
