The movie was good. It was intense and it was different. The people who didn't like this film prolly didn't like "Blair Witch" either. It's about innovation and doing something outside of the box. The best way to describe the movie is a snapshot view of chaos. Not EVERY movie has to be shot the same way. The reason Pulp Fiction was praised so many years ago because of the unique style in which it was shot (time displacement). People need to get hip....it can't always be the same movie over and over again.

*Now what I did find funny is how a "white boy" would go all the way back and risk his life over a broad he ONLY smashed once. That hoe must have had some platinum pussy in order for me to risk my life.

A brother could have been ready to wife that broad, dated her for 6 years, got pictures of them both together wearing matching "cross color" pull overs and as soon as he saw the Statue of Liberty head in the street, would have left her ass for dead!:lol:

Ending was great. Everyone does not live all the time. Also if you think the whole movie sucked because of the ending then you need to stop watching movies.

I don't watch TV or hunt online for trailers so i don't see much about movies at all. I go see a lot of movies on blind faith and i like them much more then the people who hunt for information about the movie.

It's just one of those movies dat if you didn't like "blair witch projects" you wouldn't like it. I thought da movie was good. Stupid...yet good cuz it's different. Movie has no fucking point though and there are a lot of dumb ass fucking moments.

Another fucking pointless scene is when da guy runs inside a store for a charger 4 his phone and wasted a good 10min in the movie searching 4 it. Seriously....you got a fucking creature dat ripped off da head of da statue of liberty about two city blocks away, and your trying to search, find, plug, and wait to charge yea fucking cell phone to talk to sum bitch??:smh:

problem is everyone wants a "super hero" movie. they want an indiana jones, jason bourne, luke skywalker, rambo.... this movie is trying to be more on reality based. It isn't a 100% real(long battery life, runnin in heels on train tracks, and people followng a crazy ass white boy into monster central) because it is a movie. movie was trying to show what people might do in this situation. during 9-11 you had crazy white video taping the whole crap.

I guess people wanted to see the movie from the military stand point with a bunch of action and the monster dying at the end. this basically same reason war of the worlds failed. Then you have horrible movies like "the mummy" doing so well.

FUX what you heard. THIS movie is a must see if you really like movies. It aint no Transformers/ puppet string/ CGI type shit! Ask anyone who saw it, and they all say that it was on some 911 terrorist type "what if" -"what would you do" type shit. It was good.

my thoughts: i did find it similar to blair witch, with all the motion chaos. I didn't mind the ending and I also believe there will be a sequal. It's a movie for people who love movies. Shots, cinemetography, angles, and all that shit. I'm a person who likes that kind of stuff and it was clear that normal movie goers were expecting something else. It sounded like Fellowship of the Ring (which I saw at 12am) going off. It was funny as shit to me. The could have give the audience a little more glitz with the opening and closing but no complaints from me and I anxious about the sequal. Most movies don't leave the audience with a lot of questions (except Jeepers Creepers (hate with a passion)) unless they plan on coming back to answer them (which JC2 didn't do).

Actually being a tech head myself i would have done the same thing if i had the time he had to do it. Not for the reason of a woman that is. But i would want my phone to be operational. Also i would have took a few batteries like he did. Nigga's don't know how to survive at all i see.
 
This movie would have to be the absolute worst ever made! The shaking from the handheld camera really made this movie "uncomfortable" to watch. And the story was terrible! If you have money to burn, and you like massive headaches, then go and see this movie.

Not gonna read thru all the comments, as I don't wanna spoil it for me... Haven't seen it yet.

But what I don't get is this: How is it that I Am Legend, American Gangster, AND The Bucket List - ALL Starring good Black actors - have had their DVD Screener version put out there, but movies like Cloverfield (which still hasn't hit the pirate scene yet) and National Treasure 2 have these shitty copies out? Anybody else think of that?

I haven't seen this movie and I have no opinion of it but yes, this shit has been over-hyped. The commercial is on non-stop on tv. I've been using IE for a little while today so no Adblock and the fuckin ads for that movie are everywhere.
 
I'm not foolish enough to say that this movie is for everyone but if you have watched in and say it's complete and utter trash I really have to question your intellect. I don't think it's a movie for the average joe...there's no hope to it. Captain America doesn't fly through and save the day at the end.
 
I liked Blair Witch, but Cloverfield was weak. It was like a love movie disguised as a horror movie. Everyone in the theatre booed when the ending came on and waited for like 10 minutes to see if there was additional footage like X-Men 3. Recent movies about the destruction of New York have been weak as fuck (I Am Legend was terrible).

Exactly. This was a love story about appreciating people why they are around, because you never know what could happen to take them out of here. I thought it was brilliant!:dance:

lol honestly, I think I was in gradeschool when I first saw the Blair Witch Project and had no problem understanding it, no "motion sickness" and all i'd hear was simps in their 20s,30s complaining about it being confusing and chaotic.

those are academy award focused movies and they do that to get it into the hands of the academy voters. what that says is that we as black people are in better more serious, art and emotional focused roles and not just popcorn action and pigeonholed black comedies.
