Chuck D. Talks Flav's Fried Chicken; Flavor Gets To Work

1. Tell me where I said ANYBODY let alone kids was emulating Flav
2. PLEASE tell me where I said he embarrasses me as a black person

Sad thing is you are only exposing YOUR own thinking ... white people sell out all the time ...

He's a MASCOT because his cartoonish clown image is being used by a company to represent a team he really isn't on like that rat on Chuck E Cheese or Ronald McDonald... iirc he is BROKE and has no experience in the fast food business ... or are you suggesting he is a majority shareholder in Flav Fried Chicken?

Open your EYES :smh:

When did I use THAT word? EVER?

I'm the wrong one homie ... you got me mixed up ... fall back with that fast talk little buddy I'm not your size

n' Only thing 'some of us need' is glasses and the ability to READ properly imo what you think?

Remember this?
Flavor flav is being used by the media to make young people believe proud ignorance and clown behavior is a path to success

This ^^^^^ is where you implied that Flav is somehow influencing young people.

Now...to your other point. WHO GIVES A SHIT IF FLAV ISNT MAJORITY SHAREHOLDER??? Whether he owns 5% or 50% - whatever percentage it is makes him an owner. That's all that matters. And he's the face of the company because he's a celebrity. Would he be the face of MY chicken restaurant?? NO! But that doesn't mean he's wrong.

And how is Flav selling out? What ideals is he betraying to become a stake holder in a chicken franchise? What has the man done in his life that is so bad that he shouldn't be allowed to make business moves when he can??

Like I said earlier...this whole story would be a non-issue if Flav was opening a burger joint, an ice cream parlor, or even a hot dog stand. No one would give a shit. But because of the stigma/stereotype of "Black people love fried chicken" - and fact that Flav is looked at by some as a "coon" - or as you say - "a cartoonish, clown type" this has now become an issue to some people. And I think y'all are totally over-reacting.

My point is this - Flav having a chicken restaurant does not change how Black people are perceived one iota. And since you've referenced "the youth", it also shows them that Flav is not only just some weird dude with a dating show, he's also a business man. And as long as the world has been spinning, there have always been rich people to take advantage of poor people. And if this is Flav's chance to get on the rich side of the equation, as long as what he's doing is not a detriment to Black people, then I have no problem with it.

This is another case of Black people being worried about the wrong fucking thing. :hmm:

By the way...during this discussion I haven't disrespected you once. So all that "fall back little buddy shit" means nothing to me, homie. And just so you know, I wasn't addressing you specifically when I mentioned the "coon" term. You may not have used the term (and that's cool) but you are using the same descriptive reasoning as others who have.
