Has any1 out there ever tried to initiate a child support claim from military personnel that was stationed overseas (Korea in my case)? What advice can you give to expedite my process. What should I not do? Thanks.

How did you get custody of the child? Do you have legal custody of the child?? It's harder to establish it, but military will take it directly from DFAS. The military is very good at paying CS.

I got custody because I have joint custody due to divorce decree and ex is stationed over-seas where she declined to take the child. Primary domicile was with her until she deployed. Now she doesn't want to pay any funds and I know the gov. gives alotments to her for the dependant.

military don't play once that order is issued they automatically take it out the pay. You have to go through your local court system, there should be a child services office in your town. You'll need her social, name and address.
