CHARLIE STRONG OUT AT TEXAS

And with Ed Orgeron in as the head coach at LSU, this clears the way for Herman to Texas.

No he SHOULD have been Head Coach at South Carolina but they couldn't deal with his race and his white wife. A white southerner with his qualifications and who ran the Defense at SC would have been hired. It's bad when Texas will overlook an interracial marriage but your state won't.

I'd say South Carolina is probably a little more racist than the state of Texas

was really pulling for Strong. But Texas is fucking garbage. a move had to be made. as far as LSU goes, you fire your head coach to hire Coach O? may as well had kept Miles and waited for something better. Herman will do well at Texas. That conference doesnt play defense. I'm also pulling for Mason at Vandy. Hope they give him time to get the players needed.

They had been negotiating with Herman for a minute

There's no way you hear him talking to LSU and then all of a sudden, you hear about Charlie Strong's meeting in the morning and then Herman is announced

And considering how Houston lost against that football powerhouse Memphis, it's not a guarantee he'll succeed

I know from the day he was hated on by a booster from UT via espn radio I knew those Texas crackkkas were gonna push him out. He wasn't a great coach record-wise but certain places in college football it's almost impossible to succeed check out Miss State.

Black head coaches are stopgaps til they can get the CAC they really want. They are hired mainly when programs are trash or on probation and used as "underdogs" to rally support.

Texas isn't one of those places though lol. Especially when they have no problem pulling in top 10 recruiting classes. Watch how different that team looks next year.

good
hope he builds them up and says fuck you to whoever comes calling

Not likely. It's a G5 school that'll need a miracle to ever be considered for the playoffs. Vast majority of P5 teams will pay more and if a school like auburn or Virginia tech come calling he's on the first plane out of town. Same reason he left Louisville for Texas.

Yeah I hope he does well and stays its an up and coming program, they went 10-2 and ranked 25th. They have nice facilities, 50k Students, Lots of Local support, they play in the Tampa bay Bucs stadium. He's getting $10 million from Texas...build something here with this huge in state talent pool
