I haven't been to a mall in ages …… and when I did go …. they were empty majority of the time except for holidays ….Interesting they basically missed the boat. Also you could put this story on repeat for retail malls
Only people still shopping at Macy's are wannabe's and bougee people …. even when shit is on sale …. ur only getting half off the 2-300% mark up … years ago I worked in a big mall store ….. receiving …. saw the invoices of actual prices …. then the store prices …… fools shop at Macy's and the likes ….. smart people shop and compare prices …. which has been made so much easier with smart phones and the internet …. malls and the stores in them are doomed …..Only reason I visit a mall is to hit up BJs or some other discount volume store. I spend zero time at any smaller stores.
Shit - I don’t even shop at Macy’s/Etc in-person anymore. I buy online and use the retail stores for returns and exchanges. Amazon is hip to that and is planning on retail stores (really more of a “retail presence”) to improve clothing sales and manage exchanges better.
watch the video sir …..Is Sears is still alive? I remember I did a case study for one of my undergrad business classes ('04) on the death of Sears and Kmart.
wow …. did they buy out the Craftsman line from them ???? Still a lifetime warrantee on tools too ????Par for the course... Meanwhile john q public been with the company for 20+ years gets nothing. ..

The Galleria and Baybrook Malls in Houston are both doing really well. The only mall that I know of these days that is doing really well is North point in Alpharetta
