Great comparo that I was not thinking of. I vote for the vette too.
It actually is a beast being that it is a all around daily driver that has the performance to compete with a purpose built sports car like the C7 Corvette.
The BMW M3 (M4 is now the 2 door) has always been about great overall and balanced performance in a everyday, practical package.

They basically gave the Vette props and shitted on it at the same time.
The only thing negative said about the Beamer is that it's too good.

two totally different cars, with very different clients...IMO.
The Corvette is fast, sporty, etc.....but it's not a very good everyday car.
The M4 is like Jekyll and Hyde, great as a daily driver, useable trunk, useable rear seats.......and it can also be a beast when you need it to be.

I just came back from test driving the M3 and all I can say is WOW. It reminds me of a refined version of the 911s that I drove 4 months ago.
