Capcom under fire by fans for disc locked content in Street Fighter X Tekken!

I always knew these lazy, dirty fuckers were doing this bullshit. Main reason why I didn't buy Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, any other Street Fighter IV editions, and I didn't even bother to buy Street Fighter X Tekken period. Capcom is dead to me...and has been!

Capcom’s Street Fighter X Tekken DLC is Actually on Disc

This was further confirmed by Event Hubs commenter ShiroiKaze who confirmed that there were 54 character folders on the disc including Pac-Man and Mega-Man, who were confirmed to be PS3 and Vita Exclusive. A few hours later, Event Hubs posted ShiroiKaze’s findings of the character endings in full on the disc. And, if that wasn’t enough, he also sent in screenshots of most of the models on the disc and said in the comments section that all the characters are fully complete on the disc.

So, now what? We’ve got DLC on the disc of a system that the characters were never confirmed for. Not only was all of this DLC completed after initial development ceased, they have clearly been removed from the base game. It’s not an issue of conserving download sizes by including some of the bigger files that were done by an outside studio – these are the full character files complete with animations, movesets and story content.
:smh::angry::angry::smh:

People on XBOX 360 are complaining about seeing people fight them online with at least 12 characters no one, including Capcom, even announced would be in-game (at the time of release). People have reported being fought against with the likes of Pac-Man and Megaman (announced to be released on March 13, 2012) amongst other unannounced future DLC characters. Fuck you, Capcom! Sneaky assholes!

not sure what this means... is capcom making people pay to download extras that were already available on the disc they already paid for?

It's to be expected nowadays from Capcom. Sad part is that people will defend "DLC" like this. Unlockables come with a price. No more freebies. :smh:

rocky u think capcom is the only one doin this?
an if they are how long before they're all doin it

edit
all them extra characters are wack
glad i got xbox

Capcom has been raping fans for the last five years at least. Ill never understand how people can still support this bullshit. They better not try this fuckery with resident evil

See thats why I stopped buying DLC...I think my gaming era is about to be over....I only buy it for shit I REALLY like...I might buy some Dance Central tracks and Mass Effect stuff...But I'm not buying shit for Call Of Duty or Madden...I feel these muthafuckers make enough money YEARLY to just give us all the shit as free updates....Gaming companies are getting to greedy and I'll be damn if they bullshit me

Yea its fucked up, but its a marketing tactic, goal is to make a profit, ok so the characters were already on the disc, but does it make a difference if they weren't? Its the same thing, people just feel bad because they know about it, deal with it.
Capcom has brought life back into the fighting game community, they aren't forcing you to get the dlc, its optional.

It ain't gonna stop it from selling, just like COD with their extra map packs etc. Most people like DLC because it brings replay value to old games. After playing a game for a month or 2 you might get bored, then a month later they drop some new DLC content which makes people pick up that game again. A lot of that shit should be cheaper though, especially for fighting game characters

That's how the very first mega man looked on the box art for the first game back in the 80's .
On the American version box art, yes. They fucked up a lot of box art from Japanese to American games. You'd be surprised how they used to censor and redraw games before they imported them to us. For example, Streets of Rage was heavily censored. So was DJ Boy.
Yeah I think I was too young to remember or too poor to have a Nintendo then

Also, are NONE of you READING the article link I posted? READ IT! They finished the game AND the future DLC and put it on the disc. Then took the content out of the game for later...when they announce it like it's some shit they just started working on.:hmm:

Thats some bullshit right there. Capcom used to be cool back in the day but now they some greedy bastards for charging players for content thats already made on the game disc. And you best believe they Capcom is working on a second edition just like MvC3. So on top of paying 60 dollars for the game you have to pay 5 to 10 dollars for the extra characters, thats already on the disc? :smh::hmm:

Capcom can miss my wallet. :hmm:
