Here's the deal:
Homie has a Dell that runs Windows XP.
Two weeks ago he's having trouble accessing the internet at all.
What I did 2 days ago was uninstall internet explorer and reinstalled internet explorer 7 as per advice I saw on Microsofts website.
His computer was slow as molasses the whole time I'm doing this so I uninstall programs that he doesnt use: Limewire, Utorrent, Games, Movies etc. He ended up gaining an additional 19 gigs.
I delete all cookies and temporary internet files.
I check his high speed Versalink modem:
-disconnect all cords from and to his modem and cpu tower then reconnect
-all necessary lights were on [the modem] power, dsl, internet, wireless.
Still not able to connect.
Internet explorer comes up but is running "offline"
I call his broadband provider. Of course they walk me through the same ole checklist, disconnect shit, reconnect shit, turn shit off, turn shit back on...
Still no dice...
What do I do know?
