can you walk 30 miles?

i have walked 30 miles. It sucks.

Sucks even more when carrying a 60+ pound ruck.

I'd rather be fucking.

Do it!
I'm volunteering at the race this year. My friend is running the full marathon!
You can do it, and it's for a great cause.

There's a 5 kilometre Breast cancer awareness run thats taking place in London in a few weeks time.

A work colleague of mine is taking part in that one.

Only if this is waiting for me at the finish line ...

you guys are confusing the NYC marathon with the walk for breast cancer which is a 2 day event which is also the one i posted.

I'm happy to see another man on BGOl about these things.

STL, I will be running June 21. If I get the info back from these people!

Long distance runner in my beginnings of college here!

I can def do the 5K here in STL for the cause of breast cancer.

The worse thing about cancer, it will break your heart.

I feel this thread. Be about it ladies. Check on the reg. Seek more than one opion!

yo what info are you waiting to get back? its in june you got time.
what kinda training you been doing for it?

I haven't seen any info on walking, but I try to do the Komen Race For The Cure when it's in my area.

Driving my favorite cars for a worthy cause =

oh ok.
just give it out to whoever is running out there with you.
yeah that shirt idea is not bad at all fam.

I don't know why people don't just donate the money instead of setting up these relatively expensive walks and runs and bike rides.

you literally had me spitting out my drink.

I've been doing the yoplait lids for a couple of years but I'll be doing the next walk with my girls.

I could do it, if I put my mind to it. I enjoy walking, just never thought of walking that far in two days...:hmm:

Dawg, don't remind me of those damn ruck marches. Them shits were brutal.

Let me chill with a fine dyme in the bedroom :yes:

On the serious tip, though, I could do maybe a ten miler. I'd have to prepare for it.

to show their support

to have or know someone w/ breast cancer and to see thousands and millions of ppl take time out of their lives to walk for you...i'm talkin ppl who don't know u at all and some who don't even know anyone w/ it but just believe in the cause is a refreshing thing.

plus there is a business aspect to it it....ppl get a lot of endorsements, business plugs, free stuff and it shows the humane side to ppl instead of the violence n what not.

show there support? What, people can't do something good without a couple random people who won't remember them in 2 seconds seeing them do something good?

I don't think anyone is running around saying fuck people with cancer, the world knows there are those with compassion for it, you don't need dozens of walks and runs and bike rides along with tons of wasted money every year. It's like it's not even about finding a cure, it's just something to do.

A lot of people can't see blindly donating their money. There has to be a T shirt, or a CD, or a walk... Theoretically you are correct, but it doesn't work out in practice. Otherwise you would never hear the Red Cross and other agencies complaining about shortages, but when One offers a 2 cent bracelet endorsed by celebrities they get an overwhelming response
