All damn day I've been hearing women giving themselves props for playing both role's as a father and a mother in their kids' lives. As much as I can appreciate a woman holdin it down as a single parent, there are many single father's who do the same.
Yet, none of us bash these women on Mother's Day, nor have I seen or heard any men claiming Mother's Day for themselves as many women do with Father's Day. A woman can NOT teach a child what a man can, nor can they do what we do. A woman has never been a man, therefore can not teach a boy how to be a man or to do what it takes to be a man.
It seems like we just can't be given a day just for us! For these bitter ass ladies who are pissed off cuz they chose a dead beat who won't be a father to their kid(s), she fails to realize that she CHOSE to lay up with this guy, even though in many cases she knew what he was about before hand.
Here's a convo I had with a lady friend on Facebook...
Friend: LADIES,today is FATHERS DAY.... stop giving shouts out to yourselves,so if your pist cuz he's a lousy deadbeat jus remember YOU chose his ASS...what does this say about you
Me: They only bitter cuz they think that's how they are supposed to act. They watch too much Maury and actually believe that garbage! They're bitterness lies within their unhappiness. I'm just sayin.
Lady Friend: I hate to say it, but a lot of women get treated the way they do because of they're attitudes. Lot of them bring misfortunes to themselves...and some are mad because the baby daddy don't want their ASS anymore. AND I'M NOT CLAIMING FATHERS DAY BECAUSE I DIDN'T INPREGNATE MYSELF......IDIOTS
Me: See, that's why we get along! I so wish more ladies thought like you! You remind me of a dear friend of mine, Lisa. She thinks with logic as opposed to irrational emotion. There is a time for each.
Lady Friend: IJS... I don't recall any fathers on mothers day talkin about NO GUD BABY MAMA'S....cuz I'm sure its just as many...youll get your nail,hair and toes done but your kid looks tacky or they'll put their NEW man before their kid.....that's bein LOUSY and LAME...
Me: That's cuz when it comes to a bitter woman, "it's all about me, forget you."
Lady Friend: I'm not takin no part of sayin someone should wish me a happy fathers day....hell NO...even though we usually end up with ALL the responsibilities and hold the household down....We still can't call ourselves men or do what a man can. I CAN'T teach my son to be a man cuz I'm not one,some of us women think so foolishly at times...
THAT is the type of woman we all need in our lives! She knows her role and doesn't step outside of it and into ours. I love it when a woman stays in her lane!
