Lived in metro New Orleans most of my life. Lived in Baton Rouge and Lafayette never heard that phrase.
It’s called catch phrase for when you eventually want to sell merchandise. If you ever pay attention to a lot of content creators of YouTube a lot of them uses catch phrases or slogans. So eventually when they sell t-shirts, hoodies, caps, etc they put that slogan on a shirt and people cop it to support the content creator… so best believe “you better try it” and “freak booty” might make it on a shirt in the future for sale
The guy in the YouTube video says it a lot. I'm pretty sure he's from the New Orleans or Bayou area from his dialect.
As a BBQ enthusiast, I enjoy videos like these for picking up new techniques.
Is it "Free Booty" or am I pronouncing this phrase incorrectly?
