Sadly, I have to agree with Blunt.:( :lol: Also, writing credit does have a lot to do with royalty splits. Who wrote what, and how much of it they wrote, depends on what they get.

blunt was talking about PUBLISHING .... which is a commodity ... for example puff owns his artist publishing and he has ZERO writer credits and didn't write a damn thing on their songs ... he can to this day sell that publishing to someone else like it is a stock and that person will receive the publishing

royalty splits are usually decided by your contract (or inside deals with outside artist) not by writing credits ... so if my company is giving me 20 points I can split those points up with other people if I choose to as a form of compensation ... this is not usually how it is done

writing credits are meaningless outside of promotion
for said artist ... woodchuck as a former artist I don't know if I should be surprised that you did not know this ... maybe you were a little buzzed last night :dunno:
