Black Ops 3 Nuketown for PS3, Xbox 360 missing

We have some good and bad news to bring you now. The good news is that Treyarch has finally confirmed that Nuketown for Black Ops 3 is a reality.

The bad news however is that it looks like there will not be a Nuketown map for Black Ops 3 on PS3 or Xbox 360. Once again, the last-gen platforms are getting left behind and Treyarch has decided that this exciting and popular map is only going to be enjoyed on next-gen and PC.

We were actually very surprised that Black Ops 3 is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 as it is, so perhaps there shouldn’t be too much doom and gloom over not getting Nuketown.

The news is now official and we now know that you can get access to Black Ops 3 Nuketown 2065 by pre-ordering the game. This means it is not exclusive to the digital deluxe edition as some previously*feared, so it’s nice to clear that up too.

As previously leaked, Nuketown will actually be known as Black Ops 3 ‘Nuk3town’ in the game and you should be able to reserve your Nuketown code for Black Ops 3 once you have pre-ordered – Treyarch will be sending out the details closer to launch we expect.

As a PS3 or Xbox 360 owner reading this, are you upset that Nuketown is not coming to your platform especially given that there hasn’t been a set reason for its exclusion?

Check out the first official ‘re-imagined’ look at Nuk3town in Black Ops 3 below!

Update:*We’ve just been informed that for those buying Black Ops 3 in the UK, the only way to get hold of Nuketown is by pre-ordering the title from retailer GAME – i.e, buying the game elsewhere will mean that you won’t get the code.
