Mudslides incoming. That years long drought is going to really make this hurt.
But can they handle the rain?
True but it’s all coming back at one time. Remember dry ground cannot handle that much water so there is going to be a ton of water runoffs especially around the mountains.

They NEEDED that rain. Now it is coming and just getting dumped on all at once. This is how you get mudslides, floods, etc... And what is this storm going to be like once it hits the Midwest and East coast?

Uh oh. I hope it ain't the California Megaflood. It happens every 100 to 200 years, and the last one was in 1862 and flooded the entire Central Valley. They had to move the capital to San Francisco. Climatologists in Cali have already been warning everyone that it is coming soon.
I'm not wishing any danger on Cali folks.....but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't crack a smile at what Cali might get.
I just remember all the Cali folks that laughed at FL (while I lived there) and us North Eastern cats going through the hurricanes and blizzard/snowstorms we had to live through these last few months....

Looks like Brookfield. The backstreets behind sound walls around 98th. Those used to be some treacherous streets. Back in the day nobody would have imagined Mexicans would be wakeboarding down those streets.
Definitely Brookfield, straight hood over there . That water probably got all sorts of flesh eating bacteria
I'm in SF on the way to a gig right now. It's 7:45 pm. The rain has stopped but the wind is blowing a lot harder than usual. So far the road are still open.
Them rich folks in Walnut Creek will be OK.
You do know that many people including myself moved from NO to Cali after the hurricane right?
