CACs CACing: Whole Foods now selling pre-peeled oranges

ALDI has been my go to place for produce for the last year or so.....

As part of our commitment to quality, we’re constantly working to improve the nutritional profile of our products – and those products are about to get even better. We have committed to removing certified synthetic colors, partially hydrogenated oils (a source of trans fats) and added MSG from all of our exclusive brand food products. We began this process in 2014, and customers will begin to see these products in stores this fall, with fully updated product lines in stores by the end of 2015.

This is insane... And further proof that Whole Foods is run by uber conservative old money grubbing environment killing devils....despite all the hippies and tree huggers that once shopped there (now its full of gentrifying yuppies).

Here's a price comparison of foods at Kroger vs Whole Food

This must be a Kroger in a low income area because some of those prices are lower than anything I've seen in regular grocery stores here in Maryland. There isn't a grocery store I've been that has 1 gallon organic milk for $2.10, thick sliced bacon for $3.99, organic large eggs for $2.69 (and other examples).

Yes, Whole Foods is dumb high but this chart isn't a fair comparison.

At least not out my way.

If they were selling then I don't see the problem.
Agreed. I saw someone make the argument that some people (the disabled, arthritic seniors etc) actually need shit like that and now it's been pulled from the shelf. WholeFoods is expensive, we already know and have known it for some time, why keep going there just to find shit you consider stupid to bitch about? Nobody goes to the Benz dealership and says "Yeah, S class coupe... I can get a hyundai for 20k!" They'd laugh and tell you and hyundai to go fuck yourselves and that's EXACTLY what they should've done with people complaining about asparagus water! Should've said "Well shoprite sells what and asparagus why don't you go there, make your own and go fuck yourself"

I am in Buckhead in Atlanta, and the Kroger in this area actually has much better prices than the one in the hood. I learned from a store Manager that each Kroger can set it's own prices. There literally is a bottle of Moscato that my girl likes that we have been buying for years in Buckhead for 9.99. Went to the southside in the hood to buy the same bottle, and it was $15.99. I requested the manager, and he stated that each store can set it's own prices. Soof course one they find out thatwe like something, they jack the prices up. Business I guess.

I haven't seen a Kroger in Maryland but when I do I'll definitely check if the prices are like that. So far the cheapest I've seen groceries to those Kroger pricing was at Safeway or Shoppers. But I notice that the closer a grocery store gets to DC from Maryland the higher the prices.

I do half my shopping at Costco mostly the other half at international food stores and buy other lil shit in between at places like Giant and Safeway, Shopper etc.
