Fam,

Does anyone here buy and/or sell or flip event tickets, ie concerts, games,..etc for a side hustle, and whats your experience, thought about giving it a try, just wanted to get a few opinions

I don't do it regularly, but I did purchase some tickets for Joel Osteen and resold them months later for a lil profit. You gotta make sure you make enough to cover all fees, i.e. Ticketmaster, shipping, etc.

I thought it was illegal to sell tickets for anything more than face value?

That's scalping you're thinking about. You can't do it withing XXX feet of the venue that is holding the event. But selling and shipping online...they can't touch you. BUT, even if u sell it online, still don't accept payment within XXX feet of the venue, cause it'll be the same thing as scalping.

Appreciate the clear up...

What CoolioJones said is right. Here's what I used to tell people who asked about scalping: I buy tickets and sell them via my website- I sold memories ;-)

BUT...if my website prices were too high, then I had no choice but to sell them at the venue. THAT'S scalping- and I tried to avoid scalping as much as possible, LOL.
