Business on the decline, need better marketing ideas

Fam, I started my business 3 years ago & started out pretty successful. However over the last few years, my clientele has declined dramatically I feel because of the way I've marketed it. I'm on a limited budget & have tried to market my co. at the lowest costs possible. I've ran ads in small weekly newspapers, I've printed up & distributed flyers, I've done mass emailing, I've set up shop at local business expos, I've posted in forums. As of lately I've learned about blogs & what they can do for businesses & have started a few of my own. My business is primarily a multimedia production business that provides services that anyone or corporation can benefit from. My main target audience has been the realestate industry which is where the most attention comes from. Then I have the individuals. I know my business has very good potential to be huge but maybe I'm marketing wrong or targeting the wrong markets. I'm open to any suggestions from anyone that cares to input. Thanks.

Hate to admit it, but I had put my promoting and marketing
on "automatic" and now it's a mean game of getting the
cash flow back! My attitude is that it's a crisis mode - full court press,
persistence, and trial and error. If it was done before, it can
be done again, even bigger and better.

As far as the cd covers and jewel cases you can market to independent record companies but you are going to have to put prices in bulk. If you market your CD duplication Jewel Case and cover services to the music industry you may be able to tap another market. Start a myspace page and start advertising with all the independent artists and record labels that you have CD duplicating services. People selling out of their trunk are always looking for good cd duplicator services.

Good luck.

i also offer multi-media services...i've gotten the bulk of my business through word-of-mouth and referrals...you can get a lot of business from local, independent artists by going to shows and things of that nature...just approach the artist or group after their performance and let them know that you liked their performance (whether you did or not)...let them know that you can help increase their visibility and sales by offering professional duplication, on-disc printing and custom jewel case inserts...offer bulk pricing and discounts for referrals...don't limit your scope in this area...i'm talking rock, rap, spoken word, poetry, gospel, whatever...there's money to be made in just about every aspect of live performing...you're there to help them solve a problem...that's the approach i take...i wish you well...

i have some other marketing material around here somewhere...i'll see if i can dig it up if you're interested...

Always interested, thanks. Sounds like a good target market. I also want to push my marketing tools, the presentation creations etc & I'm looking to market in other areas as far as this is concerned. I created a myspace profile today & have gotten several responses already.

This is just an idea for you to try. You may want to try sponsoring an artist or label. Like, say they want to put out a cd or dvd mixtape, stuff like that... you produce the whole thing or part of it and just have your firms' logo and name all over the thing. If you do a great job at it, then word-of-mouth will do the rest! All this'll cost you is some of your time but the exposure pays off.
Like the old saying goes, "If you build it, they'll come!"
