Brenda Blackmon to return to NYC airwaves in PIX11 newscast
Journalist Brenda Blackmon will return to the airwaves in January at the helm of a new PIX11 newscast.
Blackmon will anchor a 6:30 p.m. broadcast with WPIX veteran Kaity Tong, the station said on its website. The award-winning reporter previously worked at WWOR-TV, channel 9, for 23 years. Most recently she ran a communications firm.
“I’m looking forward to returning to the air in New York, covering the news and events that affect our communities,” Blackmon said.
