Breaking News:Scientists find indications of seasonal salt-water flows on Mars,

Whoa. nifty. i bet its the salt concentration keeping the freezing point low enough for the water to keep moving. neat.

Interesting

This map of the whole surface of Mars shows three different types of possible water findings.

The red squares show where salts and salt water signatures have been recorded.
The white squares show where water ice was exposed inside recently made craters.
The blue squares show where water ice signatures have been recorded.

............not saying any names but BGOL has some of the dumbest people on this planet. :smh:

uemployment is still at 9% much higher for blacks

The stock market dropped over 500 points

now explain to me how water on another planet benefits us??

This pretty much ensures manned flights to Mars. Just a matter of when they decide to unveil their new deep space vehicle and get the necessary funding. This is going to happen.

and once we get there what do we do? look at more rocks and check for more water?

Fuck these science fools...We have issues confronting yet to be solved. Can't even a cure for Cancer and Aid yet talking about moving to Mars...Da fuck dey do that at...

Its great on the find, but the goverment is bypassing our own backyard...the ocean. Seems to me it would be cheaper to explore that first

less than 10% of the ocean floor has been explored and there are actual LIVING things down there..

but its as sexy as going out into space:rolleyes:

First of all the money allocated to NASA would never be used to address any of the problems you seem to be concerned about.

Its like how you keep cash on the side for beer and weed. They can shut off the fuckin utilities but your gonna still get your buzz on.

So if all they do when they get there is salt water fishing your going to pay for that fishing trip regardless.

You can now make Tang on Mars without having to take Earth water there.

Yes, water is a necessity to life.

Even if it's just for humans to live there water will be needed to drink; grow food, sanitatary needs, make air to breath and make fuel to return back to Earth. Not to mention the Tang!

why havent they "GONE" back to the moon again? huh

You aren't gonna find life on the Moon, so it's sorta "dead" for now as a destination. Give it time tho, if there is signifigant developments in what the new rovers to Mars will find, or the upcoming probes to the Asteroid Belt and various comets going back to the Moon may become necessary.

The cure for AIDS and cancer is on Mars ... it's in the salt water.

So because of those things you mentioned, science is supposed to make a stop? Did you stop going to the movies? Did you stop watching porn because of unemployment? I'm just asking...?

Life sucks on Earth (well at least to you) but when has it been a bad thing to dream about the beyond?

I don't know how you niggas don't have geechidean on ignore. He's a complete idiot as well as esther, destrehan, kewlphucker, chiyo, actinanass, jhoonville, shotta 876, godbody and manhattan. These are the idiots of bgol. Reading anything they type will kill brain cells.

and whats wrong with inner space.. my issue is with the actual objective more than the dream.

when people talk about space exploration what they have in mind is more akin to science fiction than science fact.

Space exploration in science fiction says we'll find exotic and unheard of flora and faunas and super useful exotic minerals like unobtainium or something... Avatar is what people think of when they think of space exploration.

Space exploration in science fact says that the overwhelming majority if not totality of the material in the solar system is made up of minerals and elements that are already found in abundance on this planet. We've sent umpteen probes to check out the surface of the moon and mars and found pretty much nothing out of the ordinary. Putting people there is in reality space spelunking and no different than what people do in deserts and rocky places here yet you don't get a hard-on when scientists have found extreme-ophiles (microbes that can thrive in the harshest conditions and environments like acid)on THIS planet.

Which brings us back to inner space and again the fact that less than 10% of THIS planets under-surface has YET to explored in any real systematic way. And that environment is every as hostile as space so its not like technological advances would decline because of it.
