Brandon Routh's Superman Returns in Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earths Crossover
Brandon Routh, known for his role as Superman in Bryan Singer's 2006 Superman Returns, will reprise his role for CW's upcoming crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, as reported by Deadline and confirmed to IGN at San Diego Comic-Con.
Tyler Hoechlin who portrays Superman in the Arrowverse on Supergirl, will return as well. Both Routh and Hoechlin will reportedly assume the roles of Superman in different time frames, yet it is unknown who will be in which episodes.
Crisis on Infinite Earths will bring together the entire Arrowverse series for a five-episode order, including, Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. The crossover will premiere in December with three episodes released that month, and two following in January.
Routh will also reprise his role of Ray Palmer/The Atom in DC's Legends of Tomorrow for the crossover. Hints for Crisis on Infinite Earths were released in Arrow and The Flash's season finales, which is titled after the 12-issue DC Comics series from the '80s.
