I remember a few years ago some white person was telling me about how racist the Democrats was and I had to remind them. I said yes that was true, but also the big switch happened in the 60s and when they found out I knew history they tried to change the subject very quickly. It is so funny that a lot of the south white people was for a brief minute, align with Black people outside of racism, but the Republicans use racism to drive a huge wedge between the two groups. Now, a lot of poor and middle class white people are beginning to see what Black people was trying to tell them for years because of the way Trump is treating them right now.
