Board Changes - PM to all members

What's up Everybody :)

I sent a PM to all the mods Monday, I sent a PM to all of the High Post Count Members Tuesday, now this PM is going out to everybody today. I was going to make 3 different PM's, but it looks like what I sent to the High post count members will work for you also.

I'm going to set the board up so I can start making money from legitimate Ad networks like the Google Ad Network, and I need to start recruiting new members who fit the profile I'm looking for.

The only way I can run Google Ads is to get the Hard Core porn off the Main Board. I'll also have to get rid of the x-rated signatures and the x rated avatars.

The reason I'm doing this is I'm tired of being broke and I'm tired of not being able to expand my business. I made right over $2000 last month. That is not enough to pay my monthly bills. I was cool with the Secret Society, Fight Club, we have our own culture talk as long as I could pay my bills.

Message boards like Reddit, and a few others have the same content we do, they just have all of the hard core porn stuff in a different forum, we can do the same thing. Make the hard core porn stuff searchable, but it won't be visible to the Google adsense crawlers.

All of the music and TV shit will still be for members only and will remain hidden.

What I'm looking for from you is suggestions on how we can make this happen.

@Camille suggest we start over from scratch.
Blackgirl Online (the current main board) will become Blackgirl Online X (for example)
and the new board will become The Main Board (We'll come up with a name later). We can then start fresh. We will start posting to the new Main Board. All of the threads that don't violate the new standards can be moved back to the new Main Board.

The old board will still be available, but for a short period of time maybe 6 months I'm going to make it read only. That will force people to use the new Main Board. I'll probably let high post count member like Slam, Mask etc still have the ability to update their threads.

Some threads are almost Main Board ready and can be cleaned up and moved to the main board.
In some cases we may want to have a clean version and an everything goes version of the same thread.

This is just a basic summary of the plan.

All I want is a real ad revenue source and the ability to advertise the board on platforms like: Facebook, Google Adwords and Bing. This gives me a steady supply of targeted members, and potential customers for folks who want to advertise with me.

I stay on this board for constant info news and entertainment. Not just spank bank deposits... So there are A lot of posts that contain sfw information that gets extremely NSFW just because of a pic of a chick praising zod in the most heinous way possible:devil2::devil2::devil2:. So if there is a way I can check the board in a way I dont have to disable pics or gets blocked at work because of a porn filter I'm all for it.

Hmmmmm you make an extra 2000 grand a month doing basically nothing and you’re complaining. You trying to take your side hustle and turn it into a scratch your nuts in the couch cash cow. Last time you came to us you told us you made no money off the board and was struggling to keep it a float thus the reason you started the patrons

One of the only places I can go on the web that ain’t flooding me with ads to click this watch this and you’re trying to change that. :angry:

But on another note it would be good to be able to read things on the board in public without having to worry about all kinds of porn and naked broads in post about the most random shit
 
Do what you gotta do, bruh!!! Ill still hangout here.. Truth be told, this little hideout is the one of the best spots on the net!! You can get all types of information on all topics and I wont even touch on what those kats over on the music thread got going on!!

I'm actually using the board a lot less these days because I don't really check for my phone when I'm home anymore. And I can't fucks with BGOL in public because even a post about the NBA or box office results, will contain unnecessary butt naked bitches.

Not saying that naked bitches aren't appreciated, but that shit should be regulated to specific butt naked bitches threads. Not just randomly threw into threads about politics, sports, or movies.
 
Personally I’m cool... Even before this The Fonz saw the writing on the wall.. it’s one of the reasons why I’ve been pushing people to get use to posting shit in the basement.

The way these chicks are getting lately on premium content. It will be just easier to do this.

but I would Say..... That it is possible to do this but still have NSFW tags in posts on the new main board. As long as the posts contain tags that can only be seen by members who click the contents.. those contents shouldn’t be indexed by google. It’s the same content that i was talking to you about when it comes to lurker proof content.

I still think that ultimately the best way to drive more paying members is a mixture of the new board but with posts that contain content that the OP can set for a certain type of member.

Like if I don’t want a 15 day member to be able to view content ... I can put that setting in place or if I don’t want a member with a post total less then 1000 to view content.. it’s in the setting. When I was checking out the xenforo forum.. I saw these types of extensions available for a forum. So I know they are out there.

These type of extensions would give people the ability to still be BGoL on the new board, force new members to engage not lurk, and allow you to get around googles hurdles.

Low key, even the name can just be “BGOL” at this point; vets know the meaning; general public has less questions.

BGOL has been a more mature hangout spot the last 5-10 years IMO, if for nothing else that the demographics of the Board has changed especially for the OGs (I’ve been a member since 1997). Dudes who used to come here for the porn (because it was the only place you could get decent black porn really on the net) got daughters and wives and shit now and ain’t trying to see them on that Summerjam screen. :lol:

Nah, real spit; the Board is more brothas (and a few sista) just kicking it and having adult convo now and that’s a great thing; in an era of attention whoredom and over sharing (Facebook, Instagram) BGOL is visually clean (TIC) and easy to engage in conversations on on real topics without fear of putting your livelihood at risk (unless you get ock’ed but to get to that point you’ve basically asked for it lol).
