like before we had money we used to do fly shit with what we had

shit was extremely admirable...white bitches actually wore fro wigs

white people did....this wasn't mockery either...same with locs

i know shit will never be the way it was....

so mid eighties dope money comes along and we subbed their style for ours.

shit has never been the same since....IMO

IM just telling y'all what i saw happen slowly.

shit is what it is...the herd will follow the herd
and look at those who don't follow as off or stupid
that's how that works.....it will break u down if ur
weak. seems like an easy decision be yourself or
follow ........but who are you if your soul is hollow

Ricki "Ms. Look at a Rapper's backside" Ronson is back.

I see You "sista". :smh: You need help seriously.

You have to also realize that during that time the black female while not only being the pinnacle of beauty was a symbol of strength and power. Black women in the 70s that were emulated we're revolutionaries while their white female counterparts were whores and housewives. Watch The Black Power Mixtape, or WATTSTAX documentaries and you will see what I'm saying.

Sistas back in the 60s and 70s were off the chain. Looks and attitude were on point. Pam Grier, Bern Nadette Stanis, Debbie Allen, Cynthia Davis (Brenda from Cooley High) the list goes on and on. Look at some of the black exploitation movies. Those sistas were no joke.

yeah i was trying to get these sistas to channel some of that

i gotta stop worrying about black pride so much

weave is in...white designer shit is a necessity and not enough people give a fuck
so no one is really trying to hear none of this shit....its like preaching to most

people do what the fuck they want to do and justify it within or feel comfort in the fact
that others do the same shit......imma stop giving a fuck and going against the grain

no one gives a fuck about this topic or this thread and there is no shame in wearing
a white woman's hair at this point so it will only piss people off........fuck it.

i don't have no daughter....so i honestly don't give a fuck what anyone does

but ain't no one ever laying that shit on my pillow case. :smh:

that's the only stand i can't take i guess.........now

y'all do whatever the fuck y'all want too...whatever completes you.

and whoever one starred is a _________

would piss on your face if you were on your death bed and you remain
here for whatever reason after these niggas straight shitted on you
for more than two years now...a shell of yourself with like your 5th
screen name....you must be all beat the fuck up inside but you stay

Your right about the sistas from that era. They set the styles and they set the standards high. The clothes then were form fitting so, you couldn't allow yourself get out of shape.

Sistas today have more options than ever before to remain healthy or to get healthy. But only a small percentage of sistas seem willing to change their habits.

But I'm not going to blame the women, we men are also at fault. BGOL is a prime example of why women are bigger. The sistas on BGOL see heavy overweight women posted and they get all kinds of praise. They also see fit sistas receive nothing but snide remarks. So we men are telling women its OK to be fat. Two slices of cake is OK, get them fries and a shake eat that fat.

One day our sistas are going to say enough and regain their place as trend setters and regain control over their families and I can't wait.

IM not worrying about this shit no more
it irreversible at this point cause there's no real pressure
some will win and some will lose.
it takes a whole lotta pride not to follow the herd
i guess its better to praise those who don't fall than kick those who did

if you are in a race and people start bullshitting many will bullshit

a small number will see it as a chance to get ahead
people in general ain't gonna try hard if enough of the others are bullshittin

a wig or weave isn't shameful.......natural hair is

regular jeans and regular clothes don't compensate..... so u buy expensive shit

this shit will break you down after a while.

i have big respect for those who are unaffected.

shit is rough out here and u usually stick by what your moms taught you.

C/S and bumping this for the sistas to read.

this ain't really about weight.........but cool.

regardless this is on the individuals self esteem attitude

most i mentioned is a reflection of.

Jill Scott is fat and natural and loved for being who she is.

Always singing something nurturing and positive although
IM sure she's been beaten up or been through as much as
anyone else......look where she is regardless.

that was then

this is now

most of this shit has changed and you can't measure
the new generation by the previous ones.

nappy hair is commonly viewed as a flaw like acne

shits sad ........but so is hungry African kids

we want shit to be one way but its the other way

though accepting things as they are can be viewed
as passive...worrying about shit you can't change
can be viewed as ignorant.

so full circle to square one is.....shit is what it is.

Its not entirely about the weight, some of it's false beliefs and some of its food. The belief that all men want their women to be bigger is one. No bigger...shapelier. A great shape is great but not at the expense if your health.

Eating healthy is becoming more difficult every day. Foods are now loaded with enzymes, growth hormones, salt, hidden sugars and preservatives. I'm sure growth hormones are a major factor to why we're fighting with weight and size issues.

yeah man if you eat that shit three times a day and
don't sweat on a regular basis you're fucked!

And everyone knows sweating will fuck your relaxer up.

shit is sabotaged but only a fool doesn't know this

This rat race shit will take your focus off health.:smh:
