Just now, I went through security, and this Black TSA officer who sounded foreign stopped me even though nothing went off when I went through the metal detector. First, he said he had to check me with the wand. He went a little overboard with the wand, waving it ALL over me. I looked at the Brother behnd me, who gave me the "yeah, I know" look. THEN, he took out another wand and scanned it over my arms and hands, as if I had something implanted in my skin! I said, "Yo man, I don't have an implanted ID chip. I'm not a fucking dog!" I had said nothing to him until that time. I was heated. I finally said, "Am I free to go now?" After a few seconds, he cleared me. I'm quite sure he didn't do this to anyone White. Has anyone else experienced this? What recourse do you have? I'm sure it was because I was Black, and he was Black and from another country, and he thought he was the shit on his job.

But, I am not sure if he targeted you just because you are Black and I am not certain he has never treated a non-Black person the same. Some people tend to go a little overboard when it comes to jobs that comes with a little authority. Kind of like Otis from Martin. Just extra'd out shit. Lol
You may need to charge this one to the game and not let it ruin your week. If by chance you come across the same TSA worker and experience the same type of treatment, then I would say ask to speak with his supervisor and go from there.

Once, a few months after 9/11, I was travelling back to my office in NY from DC. Back then they would have the normal security checkpoint first prior to being let to go to the terminals then another checkpoint prior to boarding where they "random" check individuals.
This one black beyotch, yeah I call her that cause that's what she was, she calls me over, so I go thru their check, searches all my stuff and me. Whatever. So the exit from the little tether strap area led way back around. Like the way you entered it was one way in, same way out which was far from the plane entrance. So I went under the tether and proceeded to my plane. This mofo went buck wild. "Sir sir sir, you can't do that, you have to be rechecked"
I said what? You just checked everything. You laid out all my belongings on the table wanded me down and all. Now you want to do that again, cause I just ducked my head beneath the tether strap?
Yes we have to. I said oh hell's no, call your supervisor. He comes over, another idiot. Said we have to sir. I said pull up your tapes, why should I be searched and I went no where. Just stuck my head under the straps. You have no signs indicating what to do or where any entrance or exit is to this impromptu search area, fuck all of yall.
So now they called Maryland and DC police for me. I'm yelling in the airport fuck all of yall, yall can search my whole damn history but no one is searching me again but that dumb bitch that started all this. Cause now she huffing and puffing talking about she going on break cause she can't take this. The cops acting like I'm supposed to be intimidated by them, said they won't let me board the plane. I said fuck your plane, I can go rent a car and go home, this the last plane ever made? See you dumb mofo's have nothing to do but waste my time but I know my rights maybe better then you do. I don't need this plane and you have no jurisdiction over how I want to travel. Fuck you, none of you are touching my possessions but the same dumb bitch that first started all this.
They all agreed and made her do it against her will. They held the plane til I got on and I was in business class anyways.

I once had a few hours layover at a gate and sat there and watched different sets of TSA employees come to the gate and set up tables and saw how they targeted kids and mostly blacks for random checks. And elderly people and was snickering about who they were gonna fuck with today.

It's called this continuous screening. Even though you didn't set off the metal detector he picked you for additional screening. They're told to do that. It usually happens when it slow but they can do it at anytime. I use to do it to keep a bad chick around the check point a lil longer
Were you booking last min or 1 way flights. What you're describing with your carry on stuff being checked is different from the ops complaint. Yours sounds like the selectee line. Certain things you do when buying your tickets trigger you to get sent to that line. And the 2 i listed were the most common. Also the ticket use to have a S on it to let them know to send your ass to that line

For anyone who flies and doesn't have any precheck stuff, if you have a TWIC card, that will get you thru TSA lines quicker sometimes as well. If you don't know what the card is, then don't worry about it. But at times I've used mines and they put me thru the VIP lines where I didn't have to remove my shoes or take out my laptop.
