Black Students Removed From Trump Rally In Georgia
The Valdosta State University students said they had no intention of disrupting Trump.

Dozens of black college students in Georgia said they were asked to leave a Donald Trump rally on their campus Monday for standing silently on gymnasium bleachers before the business magnate began speaking.

Valdosta State University students said Secret Service agents were told by Trump to remove them, according to Jennifer Jacobs, a Des Moines Register reporter who was at the event. Representatives for Trump and the Secret Service didn't immediately respond to inquiries.

"I think we got kicked out because we're a group of black people," a tearful student said in a video posted by USA Today. "I guess ... they're afraid we're going to say something or do something. But we just really wanted to watch the rally. To get kicked out because we're a group of black people ... shows you how racist our own school is."

Another student said the group decided to stand quietly in the bleachers wearing black attire to as a statement. The group had no intention to disrupt the candidate, the student said.

The incident happened the same day Black Lives Matter protestors interrupted a Trump speech during a campaign stop in Virginia. At that rally, a Time magazine photographer was thrown to the ground in a chokehold by a Secret Service agent after stepping outside of the press pool.

Trump has drawn widespread condemnation in recent days after being slow to distance himself from white supremacists supporting him, namely KKK leader David Duke.

A video tweeted by a Valdosta student appears to show Snapchat footage of the group as they were ejected.

Pick your battles? What can a couple students accomplish against a stadium full of cacs? Did they just watch 300, inglorious bastards, or something?

Wow how dare they think they could talk around white people. Right Jay.

They were not there for the reason everyone else was. Good move by the locals. They could do that outside.

They have the right to buy a ticket and sit in a seat. They did nothing to be removed other than be Black.

Proud Black American under your name is a joke.

I guess you can't take a picture of BLM also. Times reporter slammed by his throat.

Watcher between the reporter and security that was a personal issue. They had a right to buy a ticket they weren't there to hear the speaker.

They were there to protest. They could have done that elsewhere You cannot cry, or make anyone care about your or a group's issue. You can get a lobbist to help with your issue. With all this money they've spent they could have met with a lobbyist to create real change.

Maybe you should listen to them instead of making assumptions.

I don't care what they have to say. I was just in undergrad a few yrs ago. Guess what I didn't care two yrs ago as a student. If it didn't hurt me I didn't care.

Is this a joke?

Your suggestion for college kids is to pay a lobbyist?

Cost Estimates

Large firms with dozens of lobbyists on the payroll can charge retainer fees of $25,000 per month or more. One-man operations, on the other hand, can cost as little as $5,000 per month and deliver similar results. In addition to monthly retainers, you can also expect to pay the lobbyist's incidental fees and to make political donations to targeted lawmakers. Since most firms require a minimum one-year contract, it's not hard to see how the minimum financial commitment for a paid lobbyist can easily approach six figures.

Not all college students are poor eating top ramien first off. No I'm suggest the blm dudes or whomever they are. Get some money together and do like adults do about their issue.

Yea, you have made it clear you don't care what Black people have to say.

And you fucking delusional if you think a republican president won't hurt you. If you are even Black

I didn't expect O to care personally . I know everyday I have to put in work to see progress.

Interrupting commerce on Michigan ave in Chicago and interrupting traffic on the Westside highway is quite childish its the 2016 way of throwing a tantrum. Get help on the Hill and go from there

To sue for what?
Being put out for arguably "no reason" other than skin color? Can wearing all black and silent protest be considered an "action" to warrant removal? I'm no legal expert thats why I'm asking? i don't know all the details. dunno.

I was just told that trump could decide whom he wanted inside the venue or not because he was renting the space and it was not the schools responsibility, don't know it thats true or not.

Faced with persistent questions about his failure to disavow David Duke and the KKKduring an interview on Sunday, Donald Trump is casting himself as an unrivaled champion of democracy.

Appearing on ABC on Tuesday morning, Trump said he disavowed all support from white supremacists, declaring that “there is no one that has done so much for equality as I have.”

Unprompted, Trump cited his “Mar-a-Lago club, totally open to everybody” as proof.

While Trump bills Mar-a-Lago as “totally open,” the club’s website calls it “one of the most impressive and exclusive private clubs, made even more glamorous by Mr. Trump.” It is decidedly not for everyone: “Membership at the club provides the highest privileges and an elite lifestyle reserved for a select few.”

Members have access to “the finest signature European indoor and terrace dining, the world renowned oceanfront swimming pool and Beach Club, the luxurious Trump Spa and Salon, six championship tennis courts, a full size croquet court, a chip and putt golf course, a state of the art fitness center, and the most coveted entertaining space, which includes the elegant White and Gold Ballroom, and the sumptuous Donald J. Trump Grand Ballroom.”

Joining the club requires an initiation fee of at least $100,000, plus more than $10,000 in yearly fees. Actually using the club costs more, with rooms costing thousands of dollars per night.
