I meant to ask this in one of the 100s of Black Panther threads.

In the BP movie, T'challa seems like a "good" fighter but definitely not a "great" one.

I was under the impression that he is one of the greatest pure fighters in the Marvel universe?

Defeating characters like Namor, Deadpool, Wolverine and even Cap.

What I saw on screen wouldn't stand a chance against any of those characters.

I'm not even sure he would one against one of the Dora Milaje

What am i missing here?

When he was not BP, he fought dudes that were on his level, beating one of them. When he was BP he beat a dude that was his equal. In Civil war he went toe to toe with Winter Soldier and Cap, displaying Superior fighting skills. People forget that the people from Wakanda are also well trained fighters, so fighting against them would not a cake walk.

Fighting Skills is Fighting Skills! The Panther Diety enhances what he already has. However, It's not going to turn him from Chuck Norris to Bruce Lee. Just a Chuck Norris that punches, kicks harder etc.

I don't believe for a second in a full-fledged fight he wouldn't have beaten Cap.

Hell, didn't Winter Soldier go toe to toe with him?

Didn't Hawkeye, the human, for a moment?

W/O the enhancement of the Herb, fighting as a human, I'm not convinced he could defeat Black Widow or Hawkeye.

Dude zod and his crew were ferocious.. His squad alone is easily top 5 bad guy squads in superhero flicks... His crew is the reason why I knew bvs was a bad idea cause no way do u go from them to facing a smart human.. That crew was ww3 in human flesh.. Faora hands down best female presence on screen...shed prob kick wonder woman ass or at least been a better villain than the other guy they had... Zod squad is why I look at any1 sideways when they said mos was wack

Either way, my money is on Black Panther.:yes:
If you're comparing them on intelligence, skill, experience, tenacity and ability; then T'Challa easily comes out on top.
If you're comparing them on just sheer power levels alone, then Spawn wins.
However, possessing enormous power alone is NOT enough for Spawn to win.

Bottomline:
T'Challa is everything Batman wishes he could be. (Plus he's far richer, better trained, expertly schooled and rules an entire country).
And just like Batman & Captain America, T'Challa routinely defeats opponents who are far more powerful than he is...:D

So you think bp could beat god or Jesus? You do kno god biggest opponent is the devil... Well the devil had an idea to have an army to battle god and his angels... The devil personally wanted spawn to lead them... So on the food chain of power being picked to lead the war of all wars seem like spawn would be on next level alpha status...bp can't even comprehend that level of importance

Marvel even had a comic with T'challa beating The Silver Surfer, that's even worse plot induced stupidity than Spider-man beating Firelord.

Even in the comics the only one of those characters he has a reasonable chance of beating are Cap and Deadpool. Namor is too strong and Logan is too durable. Even though he can't keep Deadpool down for long he should be able to KO him because he's not as durable as Wolvie. Cap is a 50/50 fight on any giving encounter both are capable of beating each other.
