While this scene is just being released, it was shot almost 2 years ago.![]()
Damn! Takes that long?
What are you working on now and when will it be released?
peace
Not neccessarily. I just shot Women of Color 13 for Anabolic on August 31st and it was released on September 18. I just finished shooting Lords of Ass 10 with Tom Byron and Aurora Jolie last Friday, and will be shooting a new Seymore Butts' title with Christian this week Friday. Mostly right now, I'm shooting content for both sites, with about 3-4 hardcore releases monthly. The release date depends on the individual company's release schedule, how many products they push per month, and which lines are scheduled to be released when... like any company. A movie's release date could be pushed back, etc. I don't have a releae date on LOA yet, but it will probably be in 2-3 months.
Are you ever going to do anymore fucking machines or any of that Bondage stuff again ? Those are my personal favorites. While this scene is just being released, it was shot almost 2 years ago.![]()
This chick is still doing porn? Shouldn't she own her own studio by now?![]()
Cool.
One last one. Do you (and any other performers) get any royalties from DVD sales/Downloads from sites?
Other than that, be cool SL.
peace

Depends on what you view as important... "Should" is such a bullshit response on your part. If you knew anything about the business you'd know that video and DVD are a dying art - much like magazines. I do own a studio, an online studio that produces content for webmasters and my own websites. Know why I still perform? Because there are guys like you out there that continue to buy and download movies I'm in. I do it because I can... because there is a market and a demand. If there wasn't, companies wouldn't hire me. I perform because for every scene someone sees me in, there is a majority of the consumers (not RENTERS AND FREE DOWNLOADERS,) that will then go out and search out additional products that I am featured in, and will ultimately put money in my pocket through direct purchasing. What's so hard to understand about that? Jay-Z came out of retirement because he knew he could make himself, and his company, more money than any of his other artists on his label. Self-promotion is the best marketing there is when you have a loyal fan base.
But you'd know that... if you had fans of your work.

hey Sinnamon, what's up?
i always wondered, how many movies do you (as well as other porn stars) do in a week?
are you limited to a certain amount, does it depend on the contract you have with whatever company your working with?
how does that work exactly?
I didn't mean to strike such an emotional chord with you. I just remember you from back in the day and figured you'd be pushing 50 right now. I don't care either way because I don't buy your movies, but comparing your career to Jay-Z's is laughable at best.
Wassup Sinn I was knocked out afterwards.
Glad you made it home safe.![]()
Depends on the performer, their agent, and the performers particular (financial) wants and needs... Yes, if a performer is under contract that also affects how often they shoot, but most performers are not and are independent contractors.
Contract performers usually do a certain number of movies either monthly or yearly plus appearances depending on their individual contract for a monthly or yearly salary.
A brand new performer, with the right, (commercial,) look and a good, (yet money hungry,) agent, could easily work daily for the first 30-90 days in the business... but that type of work usually results in oversaturation - which is why you see most performers in a ton of movies when they first came in, then the disappear after a few months. Personally, I chose a different path - I generally shoot a handful of titles a month (3-5) and focus on my own personal ventures - that way there are enough releases to keep fans happy, keep companies/ directors wanting me, and keep me in the loop.. Anything else would be silly. But many young performers don't understand the (long term) value of not shooting for everyone and every project that comes along.
