The team found the Tinker Bell character to be both “body conscious” and “jealous of Peter Pan’s attention.”

But meet and greets with the character are still available at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, suggesting the Stories Matter findings may not have played a factor in the decision to end the character’s meet and greets at Walt Disney World.

They realized they had a problem when the meet and greet lines were filled with grown men.

Flawless is absolutely right because every instance of Tinkerbell is shown with that very revealing outfit.

But there is a way to modernize classic characters while still keeping the spirit of the character.

For example, in the Super Mario Bros. movie, Princess Peach is shown to be strong, smart and independent, and not totally reliant on Mario, in fact she helps him save Luigi but at the same time it doesn't feel like they took a nearly 40-year-old character and changed her completely.

Disney needs to take a page from Nintendo's book.
