Big Biz News: Intel Announces Retirement of CEO Pat Gelsinger (scapegoat?)

-1x-1.webp

He was closely tied to Biden just like the EV industry destroying their branding. With Trump coming into office, he had to be sacrificed. He let Biden/Democrats attach himself to them. I wouldn't have met him.

His competitor has used my NIL and they are growing like gangbuster. They make ritualistic sacrifices of women to me.

I have some CPU designs that would destroy what is on the market.

The board gave him the option to retire or be fired....... he chose "retirement."

He made some comments about ,iirc, Chinese/ TSMC...... that ruffled some feathers. In response they took away discounts they were offering Intel so their costs damn near doubled......

So this is a signal to them to try to get the discounts back, but also they want to split the company into the foundry, chip making /tsmc competitor and then the design group and then there's another company they own Altera that may be sold off and can go ipo on its own....

Should be interesting. Intel sat and milked old ass hot inefficient chips forever charging a damn premium price.......they will bleed for a while.

These politicians need to get out of the private sector. Nobody want to get involved with your criminal schemes or deal with your IP theft. This is the result...

Everytime I look up, they are all in my face.

Pat Gelsinger should have gone to Congress and met a bipartisan panel if they were offering tax breaks. We don't want to do any photo ops with you. I would meet in a back alley at the most.

The Democrats are notorious for this garbage. Do their speeches at a corporate location after offering them a bunch of tax credits.

Intel was in trouble when he took the helm. I remember Intel investors worried about the pace of innovation and being very hopeful when he was hired due to his tech knowledge. I predict that Intel gets bought out by another competitor or maybe even Tesla or XAi.

I am surprised Obama didn't sign the ACA at the United Healthcare headquarters. Most of them are relative failures compared to the people in the private sector. The most they ever done is get into Harvard or something.

There is DEI terrorism that he may have fallen victim to with him closely aligning with Biden. After Biden left office, they got rid of him. What is DEI terrorism? When a critical product or system is sabotaged through manufacturing defects or engineering flaws. The Pacific Northwest seems to be a hotbed of this activity.

It’s been a burning question for months — are Intel’s laptop chips susceptible to the same permanent damage that can potentially lay 24 different flagship desktop chips low?

Today, Intel has finally confirmed: its 13th and 14th Gen laptop chips do not seem to have an instability issue. And the company claims they are definitely not affected by the too-high voltage issue, which it’s now calling “Vmin Shift Instability.”

While Intel maintains that Vmin Shift Instability is not necessarily the root cause or only cause of the crashes — it’s still investigating — Intel spokesperson Thomas Hannaford now tells The Verge that laptop chips basically aren’t affected at all. “Confirming 13/14th gen mobile isn’t impacted by the instability issue broadly speaking,” he tells me by email. A game developer, Alderon Games, had raised concerns that laptop chips were affected last month.

Additionally, Intel is saying today that many desktop chips aren’t affected by the specific voltage issue, either: 13th and 14th Gen i5 chips that aren’t part of the K-series, i3 chips, and Xeon chips aren’t affected, it claims.
