Some may have forgotten or may have never known or realized that it was the Dancers who rocked the backpacks (African styled & outdoor type later) 88/9/90 with the change of clothes, kicks, brew, what have u, not no MCs;
that trend just followed afterwards and led to the name backpack MCs who travelled around, battled & caught wreck post this album; used to see Lil K/Buck late night in BK with the backpack on going back to 90/1/2 while running around out there with fam & going to jams.
They mentioned Maria Davis as the promotor out in BK
She was responsible for getting ClubEsso poppin off of the WestSideHighway.
Where jz was spittin the 22 2's @.
