Best legal flip is when I was doing websites back in the days..
I charged like 10 dollars for a page..and did like 15 a day...cats used to hit me up from rap sites etc to make sites for them...

Late 90's early 2K. Me and a partner owned a couple cell phone stores. I decided to flip my loot into selling cell phone accessories - leather cases, chargers, lighted antennas, etc... I had a connect in the states where I was getting supplies for the stores but they was selling shit for $5 to $10 a piece wholesale. :smh:

So I got my hands on this Chinese wholesale list. I would spend late nights on the phone calling to China negotiating prices for accessories(yep them niggas spoke english, barely). Finally worked a deal where I could get pretty much any accessory for 25 to 50 cents a piece, straight from the factory. I had to buy in bulk though.

Spent a 2 or 3 G's and ordered my 1st shipment after I approved the samples they sent. While waiting for the 2 - 3 weeks for it to arrive, I got a logo designed and found a printer who could print my labels and bought packaging in bulk. Shipment arrived and the items were legit.

With the cost of the merchandise, packaging, shipping and customs, I had less than a dollar invested in each item. Sold them shits for $19.99 - $24.99. I was able to open kiosks in 2 separate malls. That shit fed me good for 6 or 7 years.

Several companies hired me to convert their vhs training videos to dvd..got so much work I had to hire two of my friends

Selling Mac & PC software that i downloaded from here.......lol.

Being that he said legal I couldn’t count my bootlegging and storefront days… I use to even mass produced unsigned artist mixtapes for the low cause I had access to duplicating machines.. so make 500 cds, or 1000 cds lower than the price than whatever some company was charging.. I would laugh at how companies would be getting nigs for cause literally 100 cds was 8-10 bucks the cases 8-10 bucks making the covers was like 4 for 15 cent.. company prob charge nigs like $500 for 500 cds I’d be like just give me 400.. mad repeat customers

Edit: Best legal 21st century side hustles!!!

I forget how ancient folks are around here, did not expect the posts about running numbers, VHS tapes and voicing characters during the days of silent movies!

You said legal so you threw a lot of things off for me.. I don’t know if you also meant tax free.. cause party promoter, taking pics, videographer, silent investor, providing car service for strippers/ escorts/ etc, bachelor parties, talent scout for adult entertainment companies, talent scout for music vids, tv shows, etc, etc could be added to list.. definitely got a laundry list of shit

Reminds me of my African boys that got a bunch of hair pieces from China. They knew I dealt with a bunch of strippers so they ask me to plug them with dancers. Of course I got a percentage of a profit

Focus groups - still those. Average about 2 a month about $100 each

Instacart - made decent money esp picking up groceries at Costco and Whole Foods

Jesus Chri.... uh...for the love of Yaweh, Just change the damn thread title to "I'm looking for a side gig that's legal and doesn't take a lot of time. Suggestions?"

you will get more info than you're getting now and you won't have to hear stories about the "good old days".

otherwise, let these folks talk. it might be the last good memory for some of em' before the reaper shows up.

Selling bunny crates on the TTD marketplace.

My son used to hit me up for $25 Roblox card every week. Now I just give him the gems instead.

Made a good bit of pocket change back between 2005-2009 fixing people's laptops. When XP was the shit, there was also the viruses and malware. I used to charge $50 for a laptop/desktop "cleanup." Any work needed to be done $50 an hour. Need Windows reinstalled and don't have a key? $75-$100 no questions asked along with free software and antivirus. Folks were referring me to their friends, family, church members, etc. Doing one or two computers every other day throughout the week one time yielded me $500 easy cash one time. Usually I made about an extra $200 weekly from that hustle which was good because I was house poor and it helped keep food in the fridge and gas in the car.

I remember working for a neighbor cleaning dialysis clinics for one hour every Tuesday and Thursday. I was in highschool so any money would help. It was $15 cash for one hour of emptying trash cans and mopping the floor. So I made about $30 which was enough to buy lunch and catch the metro with a little leftover. Minimum wage at the time was $4.25 (or maybe less).
