G-Unit (short for Guerilla Unit) was an American hip hop group formed by longtime friends and East Coast rappers 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and later adding " The First Lady of G-Unit" Olivia Longott. After releasing a string of mixtapes in the early 2000s, including 50 Cent is the Future, God's Plan and No Mercy, No Fear, the group released their debut album Beg for Mercy in 2003, which went on to ship over 4,000,000 copies in the US and was certified Quadruple Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album, which followed the critical and commercial success of 50 Cent's major-label debut Get Rich or Die Tryin', served as a platform for Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and Tony Yayo to release their respective solo debut albums; The Hunger for More (2004), Straight Outta Cashville (2004) and Thoughts of a Predicate Felon (2005). In 2008, the group released their second album T·O·S (Terminate on Sight).

I've always felt that Dipset were hip hop trolling and it just happened to work out.

Wow...

I can understand that with a young Jim having rap training wheels

But how can you saw that with Cam long time certified resume as a rapper and ghost writer?

And Santana had dudes biting his style and was on par with a prime Wayne at one time.

And the heat makers production was running the radio for a long minute and they had that run with Just Blaze.

I don't see the trolling part...

Unless you mean how Cam could make his worldwide acolytes wear whatever he wanted whenever he wanted.

Now THAT might be "trolling"

But it also highlighted the power influence and real time tangible dollar of the hip hop and the black community early

Which we STILL do not fully appreciate

I keep hearing this cam ghost writer stuff. Who he writing for when his bars are ass?

He wrote for a TON of rappers from that era but will never tell the whole story

Which I respect

Famously?

He wrote Crush on you, 3LW too
Should have kept crush on you for himself then. And are we saying he wrote the whole song or he just did the hook? Has he had a song bigger than that himself?

He was a rookie bro

It's the rite of passage

Lox, Mase, Kendrick, Math, skillz, Gibbs, Cassidy, Drake etc etc

50 gave Game tracks and references

Mason was supposed to write a bunch of songs gave Cam a cut to do the Jr Mafia joint. It was for Cease it was a last minute decision to put it on Kim album. Biggie added a Kim verse.

Which was the smart move.

Classic.

Bunch of hungry dudes putting in work and took the lil crack in the door and kicked that bitch wide the fuck open.. they literally took small opportunities and took advantage of them shits.. Jim jones literally was a hype man and did way more than anybody ever could imagine and 20 yrs later is still has a presence

Which ain't got nothing to do with them subpar bars. Glad he's getting money in other a avenues though.
are you talking dipset cam or pre dipset cam as far as bars.. he got lazy as far as spitting when dipset got big cause the movement got them so much money
